The City of Oconto Falls is looking to fill a vacant alderperson position.  This position is for Aldermanic District 3 (Wards 5) with a term ending April 2027.  The interested party must reside in the City of Oconto Falls and in the district in which they are serving.

A map of aldermanic districts is available for viewing at the City Municipal Building, located at 500 Chestnut Avenue or on the City’s website:  www.cityofocontofalls.com   To view map online; click on Government tab and then click on physical-ward map. 

The Common Council may appoint an alderperson for this vacancy at a meeting held on October 14, 2025.

EMERGENCY SIREN UPDATE

The City of Oconto Falls emergency siren is in need of repairs and updates. The parts have been ordered and the estimated time for this to be finished is about 12 days. We apologize for the inconvenience of not having the emergency siren.

As a reminder, emergency sirens are primarily designed to alert individuals outdoors to the imminent danger of a tornado or severe thunderstorms. They are not meant to be heard indoors. While sirens can be helpful, they should not be the sole source of severe weather alerts. People should also use NOAA Weather Radio, local media, and smartphone apps for more detailed and timely information.
